Key Losses: RB Ron Dayne

The Texans have added some depth behind Ahman Green with the signing of Chris Brown from the Titans and drafting Steve Slatan (West Virginia) to help out in the backfield as it looks like Ron Dayne will not be returning. The real key to the Texans having a decent season will hinge on the health of WR Andre Johnson and QB Matt Schaub. If those two stay healthy and continue to improve on their work together last year the Texans should again improve but its doubtful they'll sneak into the playoffs in such a tough division.

If the injury bug bites Green again this season I expect Steve Slaton to perform very well although its doubtful he'll get very many carries this season. Definitely someone who deserves keeping an eye on and possibly picking him up on the free agent wire depending on who's healthy.
